Oyun, Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride karakterleri Bianca ve Nera'yı (Japonya'da Flora adıyla) öne çıkarıyor ve 500'in üzerinde canavar sunuyor.

Serinin son oyunu The Dark Prince (Dragon Quest Monsters 3) Aralık 2023'te Switch için, Eylül 2024'te ise PC ve mobil platformlar için çıkmıştı.
